Alas, I have yet to fix that blasted html problem. No time yet. I actually got up on time today (8:30) instead of sleeping in, which was odd because I had difficulty sleeping last night. I'm not feeling quite right physically today; I'm not sure what's up. What I did do today was read my last Psychology chapter (WOOHOO!!), practice guitar, mail oodles of graduation party invitations, and paint. I also did this: It's the front of a card for Katie's birthday, which was yesterday. This is Scout, the fish I bought her for her birthday last year. The little Japanese character means "dream." I broke out the calligraphy stuff I've packed around since I had a one-quarter calligraphy class 6 years ago and made some rad words on the inside. All in all, I am pretty pleased with it. In preparation for Mother's Day, I wrote a little song while I was in the shower this morning. I kid you not. I gave my 9-year-old brother a copy to memorize so we can sing together whilst I strum. It's nothing serious, especially the guitar part, but I think she'll like it. Oh man! Today I was reading the paper and I noticed an ad for a teaching school. Like uh . . . where you'd go to become a teacher. And it said you can be done in two semesters. That sounds kind of bogus to me, I don't know. But I have been thinking more and more lately about what it would be like to be a teacher. I wouldn't want to go to school for a year and jump right into it, though, because that would make me the most boring teacher ever. The cool teachers are always the ones that a) are extremely passionate about their subject (which you rarely get in pre-college institutions) or b) have lots of cool experiences. Ramblings. The things I'm writing and the way I'm thinking make me feel like it's really late, though I'm not tired and will probably have trouble falling asleep if I go to bed right now. It's that same off-kilter thing. Hmm. [edit] I fixed it!! I'm so stinking happy right now, just because I opened up my html editor and could actually TELL what was wrong. *happy dance* [/edit] |
