he's a crybaby in this movie, too

17 May, 2002

Guess what I saw today . . . you guessed it, Star Wars! I actually had no interest in going but the rest of the family was going so, yeah. It was entertaining. I really like Natalie Portman; in fact, she's one of few actresses I don't detest. Hayden Christiansen (?) isn't as cute in this movie as he was in 'Life as a House.' Still cute, though. He's all buff in this movie. Rowr.

Anyway. Today was productive, as planned, which is a very good thing. I finally did laundry - it was getting to that critical state where it takes me ten minutes to find a pair of underwear after my shower. Yesterday I found a pair that had fallen from the unmentionables basket into a shoe on the next shelf down.

Ah, my ISP is driving me crazy, disconnecting every five seconds. Someday, in a place far away, I will have a connection that is not dialup. What a happy thought.

Man, I think God is on a mission to affirm me lately. In person, people won't stop telling me how great and beautiful I am (my boss actually gave me a spiel (?) after he got my graduation announcemtn/invitation/photo package). Online, I got two pleasant surprise guestbook entries today alone. It might be part of what He's been showing me lately as I read Exodus. Most of that book is filled with precise instructions for building the temple, where God was to live. Now that God lives in us, he puts at least that much thought into our construction. It boggles my mind, that Exodus. wow.

When I was in the forums today, I read this thread in which a guy asked about decorating the window on his computer. At first, I thought he was an idiot who wanted fancy stickers on his screen. Then, I thought he was a slightly more creative idiot who was going to cut a window into his tower. Someone informed me, however, that some computers come with windows in the cases and that you can also get them with custom paint jobs, stainless steel cases, and special lights inside. Am I the only person who has never heard of computers being souped up visually like this?
