I am a housekeeper at a motel (motelkeeper if you ask my old friend, Devon). Hours of housekeeping I did today: 0.25. Hours for which I will be paid: 4! Are my math skills lacking? Do I pad my time card? No! I just have a cool boss. After cleaning my one room, I made some follow-up phone calls on reservations and such, walked to the post office, helped apply contact paper to the newly-cleaned shelves and table in the laundry room, drove to town to pick up more contact paper, and did more shelf-lining. Consequently, (not really but I am practicing transitions) you should visit my new pal. She showed up in my guestbook out of nowhere and, even though she -is- primarily a Live Journal user, what I've read has been pretty hip. Speaking of which, I watched 'Cheech and Chong's Nice Dream' tonight. It cracked me up. I love the line (in reference to a just-consumed narcotic) . . . "What was it? No, wait, I want it to be a surprise." Oooh yeah, I also painted doors and doorjambs when I got off work. All that's left is to paint and install the trim around the bottom of the walls. It's soooo beautiful! I love it! Speaking of love, here is something that is the nemesis of love . . . I have a Creed song stuck in my head. I know the last thing the Internet needs is another Creed rant, so I'll restrain myself. But, this dumb song! Anyway, today was a happy day. It's only 11:40 so I think I am going to read for a bit. . . .
