Ack, ok I'm back. This Avalanches song is awesome . . . it's called 'Frontier Psychiatrist," very cool stuff. I first heard it several weeks ago on a comp CD from Proctor & Gamble (they wanted advice on what music to use for an upcoming commercial) and lately it's been spinning on this late-night beat show on the radio. The new Prodigy song is also awesome. I love dancing to Prodigy . . . hmm, this song takes me back to my old Russian disco days. Anyway. I haven't updated (like most people, I've noticed) lately because I've been so stinkin busy. Graduation, then graduation party, they big picnic/baptism thing, then on Monday I left for a backpacking trip. Returned today. This was the same hike we (my dad and I) did last year . . . drops like 3600 feet in 2.25 miles. Yeah, steep. So this year a couple of other people came and it was fun until we started running out of bug spray, at which time it was scary. Speaking of fear, there were tons of wildlife encounters this year . . . a rattlesnake every day (as opposed to one last year for the whole trip), a bear on the first day (we didn't even think there were bears down there), and truckloads of giant, very fast water snakes. Kept us on our toes. Well I'd like to write more but my computer is acting up a bit. So anyway. I think I'm going to plant my tired, bug-bitten rear into bed.
