Ok. I'm back. I think I'm finally ready for the post-vacation update. But I slept A LOT on vacation and last night I "only" got eight hours so I'm all tired, so we'll see how long I last. I refuse to ramble about details, so, highlights: I went to visit Sharon and she is sooo awesome. I met a guy who is the apostle for like 50 churches in Mexico, and it looks like I will be able to move down there. We scored a free dozen doughnuts from a Krispy Kreme in Louisiana. While attempting to create a skirt, I broke their sewing machine like eight times until it was so broken that I was forced to give up. On my last day, we decided to "stop by" Ikea because it was supposed to be cool, and I decided to buy a whole bunch of stuff and "deal with the packing ramifications later." Sharon's brother-in-law, Tattoo Josh, works for a booking agency now and gave me free CDs (one is Denison Marrs, which I highly highly reccommend) and promised to hook me up with free shows. He also clued me in about House of Heroes, an awesome band that has three major labels courting them. I spent a lot of money on food - especially after I discovered Sonic and a daily need for its Tater Tots. Yeah and I slept a lot. It was great. Now I'm back. A lot of things are the same, but I'm different. I really found the Godly focus, guidance, fellowship, and rest that I needed down there. So I still need to choose a major and stuff (although I have a growing feeling that I'm doing school wrong) and I still have to deal with work and stuff but I know I can handle it now. I got my God meter all juiced so I'm ready for action. I definitely needed time away from all the circumstances to get a better perspective on everything. I also learned that frivolous, excessive impulse spending, even when planned for, is not nearly as satisfying as well-thought out, deliberate purchases. Who'da thunk it?
