Well, in an earnest effort to crash my computer (or at least get a blue screen and a "system memory low" message), I am writing here, going through the art forum, talking to Danny (whom I recently coaxed into the Diaryland ranks!) on MSN, and running AIM quietly in the background. woo! Closet nerds unite! Speaking of which, it's been decided that this sign: / will henceforth mean the same as this one: ? in IM conversations. That's right. Oh, and "kik" means the same as "lol." This way, you don't have to correct yourself when you don't get to the shift key fast enough or accidentally line your fingers up incorrectly. There are some mighty good changes in store for this humble little diary. But it's a surprise! Aren't you so excited? I know I am. I had an academic advising appointment today at the college. Honestly, I've never had such an unsatisfactory information session. Like, I had these simple questions lined up (Do UCs take transfers for the spring term?) and this counselor had NO CLUE. And umm . . . yeah. This is kind of weird. When I did my SOS two summers ago in Chico, there was this boy on my team - we looked a little similar and people kept telling us how they mistook us for each other after a glance. Anyway, we decided that we were obviously twins and referred to each other as such. However, we haven't been in contact at all since the SOS, though we get news of each other through a mutual friend (Katie). And right now I'm talking to his girlfriend on AIM. Strange.
